Stufato alla Milanese (Stewed Beef) Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc of rump steak
some fat bacon; cut into bits
some lean ham; cut into bits
a pinch of salt
a pinch of pepper
a pinch of cinnamon
3 cloves
1 oz of butter
1 pc of onion
1 glass of Burgundy
Instructions:
Beat steak (rump) to tenderize then lard well. Dust bacon bits with pepper, salt and cinnamon then place on steak. Next, stick cloves to steak, put into stewpan.
Chop some beef fat and add to pan along with butter, chopped onion and ham bits. Pour enough stock in to completely cover steak, adding Burgundy. Stew until cooked.
