Ham Sauce, Salsa di Prosciutto Recipe
Ingredients:
1 oz of ham; cut up
3 Tbsps of Port (sweet, or Musca)
1 tsp of vinegar
Dried basil
1/8 tsp of spice
Instructions:
Pound the ham on the mortar and combine with sweet Port, vinegar, spice, and basil on a stew pan. Let it boil. Pass mixture through the sieve then warm on a double boiler. Serve warm with roasted meats.
