Genoese Pastry Recipe
Ingredients:
5 pcs of eggs
Castor sugar
Flour
Butter
3 oz of almonds
Melted butter
Grated lemon zest
1 Tbsp of brandy
Instructions:
Weigh 4 eggs then combine with (of equal quantities) sugar, flour, and butter. Pound the almonds then mix with egg and melted butter; add onto the other mixture then mix thoroughly for 10 mins. Add the zest and brandy; stir well.
Spread it out thinly onto a cookie sheet and cover with greased paper. Bake moderately. Cut the cakes to shapes while hot.
